Weird and a bit freaky, but awesome. I have to share what landed in my inbox today.

In response to the Local Super Hero posting below, I received an anonymous email this afternoon which simply contained the image shown below with the following text:

"A hero walks among us - summerofbrad.wordpress.com."

I'm not completely sure what to make of this or who is responsible—a clearly fictitious gmail account was used to transmit what you see here (sort of reminded me of Scorpio in Dirty Harry, only without the bad intent).

Without doubt, the Summer of Brad moniker has taken a life of its own. Where will this take us? I'll be following closely, bemused and entertained.

One of our favorite ultra-endurance riders is featured in today's Winnipeg Free Press. There's nothing new here to read for those of us who know and/or follow Arvid. It affirms what we already know about him—he's awesome in a number of ways.

I suspect we'll be reading more about him once summer rolls around. As always, he has something remarkable planned.

The article can be found here.

I have it on good authority the Summer of Brad will come to fruition. Something was mentioned, however, about him riding his new pumpkin-coloured bike after midnight. I didn't quite catch it, but I'm sure all will be fine.

Now, if we could just get the Back 40 confirmed for 2011...
