At The Rundfart Checkpoint

On a day where we remember grit and determination, it only makes sense to enjoy our freedom by voluntarily participating in a ride requiring grit and determination. Rules 5, 9, 21, and 67 are in full effect below. As I write this in the warm comfort of home, they're still out there, about half done.

Violation of rule 50 is forgiven, as this is Movember.

  1. KK does the fact that you are not out there mean you are failing at the rules..?. Those rules are freaking classic by the way, thanks for sharing.

  2. Circumstances dictate my absence from today's tour. Goodness knows I'd love to be out there with them...frozen toes, runny nose, and talking trash with my bros.

Given I'm not on the bike right now, I am still respectful of the rules at this moment. I refer you back to rule #1.

  4. On my commute to work this morning and got my face sandblasted by several tons of post-rain-pre-snow sleet. Then I flatted. Wrong tube. Cold hands. Forgot how to change a tube. Forgot how to pump up a tube. 1/2 an hour late for work. That was my rund-fart for today. I would much rather have ridden with you guys...

Well Done you crazy rat bastards. Warriors of the shneigh.

  5. KK was of course there at the most important juncture, and played a vital role. A hot-chocolate-and-waffle feed zone in the middle of gravelly nowhere doesn't just happen by itself.
Thanks again, Kevin. At least my stomach was warm.

  6. The pleasure was all mine. I got to be a part of the ride in a round about way without actually getting cold and dirty. I have preferred Plan A to have worked out, though.

  7. KK, you are awesome. Best feedzone ever.

  8. And yes the feed zone was a beauty. A few steps up from Mike and Lorno's rolling Coke van. Thanks KK.

  9. Umm, Coke as in Coca Cola, for those who weren't present. Not a la Scarface.
FGBC/RRR events are not that far off the grid.
