FGD Challenge Update

Last Sunday's Alter 8 Enduro (results) out at Birch concluded the Operación MUERTO series for 2009. FGBC was represented by Chris H who put in a solid showing and doubled-up his earnings (and earned Operación MUERTO's Martyr's Crown) to bring the boys and girl in black to within one point of the white, red, and blue.

Yes, after roughly 16 weeks of racing, Red River Racing and the Fort Garry Bicycle Club are in what would be a photo finish should the showdown end today. But it doesn't end today. No, there’s still a lot of racing to be done, vicariously and otherwise.

A nod goes out to all the organizers involved in the Operación MUERTO events for their roles in a great series of enduro events. I'm already looking forward to next season's enduros which will include the return of 24-hour racing brought to you by the FGBC, RRR, and Birch clubs).

Until Thursday night’s 4-up TTT, here’s the lowdown on the showdown:

For kicks, and because there are a few monkeys analyzing the race data, here's a breakdown of the contributions to each club's tally:
