Back To Reality

After 10 days of vacationing in the Muskoka/Toronto/Niagara areas of Ontario, it's back to life, back to reality. Fortunately, I was able to borrow a ss road bike get in a few rides with Dennis, RRR’s Toronto emissary.

While the punchy climbs in the greater Toronto area were fun and challenging, the highlight ride of the week had to be our 60km 6:30 Thursday morning ride through Niagara Falls towards Niagara-on-the-Lake (we had to turn around a few kms before we actually reached the NotL township).

The previous night, Niagara Falls was a gong show. People everywhere, bumping and jostling for the perfect photo of the falls just as someone steps into the frame. It’s probably always like that at the falls unless you’re up bright and early, which we were. The sun was still rising when we cycled up Niagara Parkway past the rapids, to the falls, and b. What beauty! Provided you can block out the Vegas-like glitz and tackiness across the street, this provided an ideal backdrop for an early-morning spin.

holidays + family + bikes + pre & post-ride over-hydration = good times.

  1. Nice pics. Kind of makes our riding seem a bit dull. Glad to hear the holiday was a good one.
